Gallipolis is located in southeastern Ohio in
Gallia County (of which it is the county seat) 40 miles east-northeast of
Portsmouth on the banks of the
Ohio River. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 5,045, an increase of 214 since 1990.
Cliffside Golf Club is an 18-hole facilty and the general public is invited to shoot a round here.
Museum buffs will want to take in the Our House Museum.
