Kent is located in northeastern Ohio in western
Portage County just east of
Akron. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 26,833, a decrease of 2,002 since 1990.
Those seeking a post-high school education can find it at Kent State University. Nearby recreation includes outings to Lake Rockwell, Brady Lake, Lake Hodgson and Muzzy Lake, all within about 5 miles of town as well as the larger Michael J.
