Kenton is located in northwestern Ohio in central
Hardin County (of which it is the county seat) about 50 miles northwest of
Columbus on the banks of the
Scioto River. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 8,345, a decrease of 11 since 1990.
Memorial Park Golf Course, built in 1929, is a public 18-hole course and awaits the avid golfer.
Nearby recreation revolves around Indian Lake and Indian Lake State Park about 15 miles southwest of time.
One interesting local attraction is the Sullivan-Johnson Museum of Hardin County--housed in one of America's castles.
