Minster is located in northwestern Ohio in
Auglaize County about 75 miles west-northwest of
Columbus and 50 miles north of
Dayton.
One of the highlights around town is Oktoberfest, held the first weekend in October. Activities include the usual arts & crafts vendors to a little more daring "Beer Tray Relays". Heightening the atmosphere are the various "roaming bands" which play traditional German festival music.
Outdoor recreation is close at hand as Lake Laramie is just 2 miles southeast of town. In addition, Grand Lake St. Marys and Grand Lake St. Marys State Park are just about 10 miles to the northwest.
Golfers will want to try Arrowhead Park Golf Club, a 6,250-yard, 18-hole course with a par of 72. This semi-private club has an open guest policy and invites golfers of all skill levels to shoot a round with them.
