North Bend Ohio

North Bend is located in southwestern Ohio in Hamilton County about 10 miles west of [cininna] on the banks of the Ohio River. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 577, an increase of 36 since 1990.

The tomb of William Henry Harrison, the ninth President of the United States and the first Ohioan to occupy the White House, is located here. Harrison's term of office was limited to about one month due to a bout with pneumonia contracted in part when he rode in his inaugural parade without a coat or hat.

Shawnee Lookout Golf Course, open for play in 1979, is a public 18-hole facility and invites golfers to challenge its par 70, 6,000-yard layout.
