Northwood is located in
Wood County 5 miles southest of
Toledo just south of
Oregon. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 5,915, an increase of 409 since 1990.
The close proximity to the Maumee River, Maumee Bay and Lake Erie offers a number of recreational opportunities including fishing, power boating, skiing and sailing. In addition, if you prefer to stay on land or just get your ankles wet, Maumee Bay State Park is just 5 miles north.
