Poland is located in northeastern Ohio in
Mahoning County just south of
Youngstown about 5 miles from the Pennsylvania border. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 3,012, an increase of 20 since 1990.
Major outdoor recreation centers around Meander Creek Reservoir about 10 miles west of town.
Fonderlac Country Club is a private club but with a reicprocal guest policy allowing golfers who are members of others clubs around the country to play a round of golf with them. The course is 6,400 yards long and plays to a par of 70.
