Mahoning County

Mahoning county is located in northeastern Ohio with Youngstown serving as the county seat. The county population on July 1, 1999, was 252,597, a decrease of 12,209 over the 1990 census.

Among the county's attractions are the Arms Family Museum ("Greystone"), the Butler Institute of American Art the McDonough Museum of Art, all in Youngstown; Noah's Lost Ark Exotic Animal Sanctuary in Berlin Center and the War Veterans Museum in Canfield.
