Rocky Fork Lake is located in southwestern Ohio in
Highland County about 5 miles east of
Hillsboro.
The 2,100-acre lake is the focal point for 1,400-acre Rocky Fork State Park. Skiers are drawn to the lake due to the "no horsepower limit" for boats. Add in 800 feet of swimming beaches, dolomite caves and picturesque, 75-foot deep gorge and it's easy to see why this lake and park are popular with so many people.
The lake is equipped with 16 boat ramps and 3 marinas spread throughout. It provides an area for boating campers and 2 public beaches on the north and south sides of the lake.
Fishermen can take bass, bluegill, crappie and muskellunge at Rocky Fork.
