One of the highlights of Fall is the National Corn Husking Contest held at the County Fairgrounds in mid-October. In addition to the main event, a chicken BBQ and a pork chop BBQ are favorites of those in attendance. Also of interest is the County Fair held the week after Labor Day. Other than the traditional judging of flora and fauna, Parimutual Harness Racing, the National Kiddie Tractor Pulls and a Demolition Derby all draw large crowds.
Lincoln Hills Golf Club offers the public 9 holes golfing entertainment.
