West Union is located in southern Ohio in
Adams County (of which it is the county seat) about 55 miles east-southeast of
Cincinnati and 7 miles north of the
Ohio River.
Adams County Country Club offers the public an executive-style 9-hole course that plays to a par of 33 over its 2100-yard length.
An interesting day-trip is the Serpent Mound State Memorial about 20 miles north-northeast of town.
