Wilmington is located in southwestern Ohio in
Clinton County (of which it is the county seat) 25 miles southeast of
Dayton. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 11,866, an increase of 667 since 1990.
Caesar Creek Lake and Caesar Creek State Park are just 10 miles west-northwest of town for those desiring water-related recreation. In addition, Elks Lodge 797 Golf Club is open to the public and provides 18 holes of entertainment and relaxation.
The town is home to Wilmington College of Ohio, a private school that enrolls about 1,250 students plus another 400 in the Cincinnati Branch.
