Wilmot is located in northeastern Ohio in southwestern
Stark County about 50 miles south of
Cleveland and 15 miles southwest of
Canton.
Outdoor recreation usually centers around activities around Beach City Lake about 2 miles southeast of town and the Tuscarawas River about 5 miles to the east.
Local attractions include the Wilderness Center, a nature preserve of nearly 600 acres where flora and fauna may be viewed from the trails the wind throughout.
