Zanesville is located in
Muskingum County about 50 miles east of
Columbus along
I-70 on the banks of the
Muskingum River.
Major recreation ares are within easy driving distance. Dillon Lake and Dillon State Park lie just 5 miles northwest of town while Buckeye Lake and Buckeye State Park are located about 25 miles to the west.
Golfers will enjoy the selection of courses available for play. EagleSticks Golf Club and Zanesville Jaycee's Public Golf Course are public 18-hole layouts as is the shorter Fuller's Fairways. Zanesville Country Club offers their 18-hole course to members of other clubs.
