Eastern Oklahoma State College

Eastern Oklahoma State College is located in southeastern Oklahoma in Wilburton (Latimer County) east of McAlester along U.S. Highway 270. The campus sits in a pretty valley between the Sans Bois and the Winding Stair Mountains.

EOSC was originally established as the Oklahoma School of Mines and Metallurgy, offering Associates degrees in Mining Engineering.

Along with the traditional two-year Associates degree, EOSC offers programs in university transfer and technical/occupational programs, as well as one-year Certificates in technical/occupational programs.

There is now a branch of the college in McAlester which offers 2- and 4-year degrees as well as graduate level coursework. In addition, classes are being offered at McCurtain County Higher Education Center in Idabel.
