Laverne is located in northwestern Oklahoma in
Harper County along U.S. 283 and SR149 southwest of
Buffalo about 3 miles south of the
Cimarron River.
Local attractions include the Laverne Museum which captures the essence of the wild west of the late 1800s and early 1900s.
