Savanna is located in southeastern Oklahoma in southwestern Pittsburg County on the eastern flank of one of the U.S. Army ammunition plants near the crossroads of U.S. Highway 69 and the Indian Nation Turnpike (U.S. 75). The nearest body of water is Eufaula Lake about 15 miles to the northeast.
