Spiro

Spiro is located in eastern Oklahoma in Le Flore County on U.S. Highway 271. Spiro Mounds Archaeological Center, on the banks of the Arkansas River, Robert S. Kerr Lake and the Poteau River are nearby for those who enjoy the outdoors.

History enthusiasts will want to journey a short way to the northeast to take in the Spiro Mounds Archaelogical Park.

For museum buffs, the Spiro Historical Society Museum features relics of the Civil War, the Iron Horse era and the agricultural boom years.
