Waynoka is located in northwest Oklahoma in Woods County north of the Cimarron River. It is just four miles north of the Little Sahara State Park at the intersection of U.S. Highway 281 and SR 14. This is 4-wheelin' country. The park's 1,800 acres of glistening sand beckon to beginner and expert alike.
Waynoka's Main Street has a fascinating attraction--Centennial Wall, where settlers' names have been carved since the Oklahoma pioneer days. For museum buffs, the town presents the Santa Fe Depot Museum, with its collections of Cherokee Strip-era relics, and the Waynoka Historical Museum, documenting the town's growth.
