Wiley Post Memorial Lake is located in south central Oklahoma in McClain County 3 miles north of Maysville. The 300-acre lake with its 5-mile long shoreline is a tribute to Mr. Post who, along with Will Rogers, perished in a plane crash in the Alaskan wilderness. Post was the first to fly an airplane solo around the world.
