This site includes a historical museum, an art gallery, and performing arts theater. The Thames Art Gallery welcomes visitors to view historical and contemporary artwork by local, national, and international artists. The Gallery hosts 12 15 exhibitions per year. The Chatham-Kent Museum, established in 1943, is dedicated to preserving the material heritage of Chatham-Kent and to promote the area history through exhibits and programming. Ehibits include 12,000 three dimensional objects, over 1,000 natural science specimens, 50,000 photographic images, archival material and a substantial art collection including works by celebrated Canadians; A.M. Fleming, Hortense Gordon and Mary Abraham. For over 38 years, the Kiwanis Theatre has been dedicated to providing the very best in the performing arts for the citizens of Chatham-Kent.
