Grand Bend Ontario |
One of the most popular resort cities on Lake Huron. Grand Bend offers auto racing, summer theatre, camping, hiking, canoeing, and cross-country skiing. Nearby Pinery Provincial Park is the largest forested area in southern Ontario. A year round nature center interprets the rare oak savanna habitat. Numerous species of mammals, birds, and plants abound, as well as more than 60 types of butterflies. The grounds are on the migratory route of thousands of tundra swans, Canadian geese, and ducks.
