The Cataraqui Canoe Club is a non-profit club administered by its members. Its goal is to support canoeing and kayaking in and around Kingston. It is a good idea to take a canoeing course if you are not an experienced paddler, both for your own safety and to avoid the discouragement of being out of control in a strong wind. After the course, you will be able to improve your skills by paddling on your own or with more experienced paddlers. The club rents a swimming pool during the winter for members to learn and practice canoe and kayak skills.
