Featuring a retractable roof, the SkyDome opened in June 1989. The multi-purpose stadium is a pitcher's park, with deep power alleys (375') and lots of foul territory. The park's populatiry enabled the Blue Jays to set an AL attendance record in 1989. The SkyDome features baseball's largest scoreboard, 110' wide and 33' high, and includes a restaurant and a miniature golf course.
