This manufacturing city located on the Thames River was first settled in 1798. The town holds a farmers' market on Saturday mornings at the fairgrounds. The fairgrounds is also home to the Woodstock Wood Show held in early October. The show offers seminars, demonstrations, and woodcrafts, and is believed to be the largest of its kind in North America.
