Search Toronto Ontario

The Orpheus Choir of Toronto was founded in 1964 by John Sidgwick, whose goal was to expand the range of choral music available to Toronto audiences. It has a history of performing both mainstream and less well-known works, and of creating unique performances in collaboration with other artists, dancers, and musicians in a variety of styles. They perform a wide-ranging repertoire of sacred and secular works from the renaissance to the 20th Century, from a range of musical traditions, and from time-honoured pieces to experimental works.
