Alsea is located in Benton County, between Tidewater and Philomath along Hwy 34 on the banks of the Alsea River, near the Siuslaw Wildlife Refuge.
This community is situated in the Coast Range Mountains east of Waldport.
Alsea Bay, in Waldport (along the Pacific Ocean) is nearby offering a multitude of crabbing and clamming with several RV parks in the area to accommodate you. The Alsea River, noted for its runs of salmon, steelhead and sea-run cut-throat trout flows through town. The lush rainforest climate offers temperate living conditions and many opportunities for outdoor recreation.
Alsea Falls and Mary's Peak (the highest point in the Coast Range) are also popular attractions in the area.
