Site of a fierce battle between Indians and explorers. Features a paved upper level walkway, benches, public restrooms and a fabulous view. The beach at Battle Rock Park, with its spectacular seastacks, is one of the most picturesque spots on the coast. The terrain is fairly level, so beach walking is easy on the hard-packed black sands. A visitor center provides information for travelers.
