This lovely campground is on the Santiam River in the Willamette National Forest. From Highway 22 , approx. 8 miles S of Marion Forks. Go Left on Forest Service Road #2267, (Big Meadows Rd.), for 1 miles, then left on Forest Service Rd. #2257 to the campground.

Nine sites available for tents, trailers/RVs, with picnic tables, fire grills, and four horse corrals at each site, hand-pumped water, and vault toilets. Leashed pets OK. No reservations. Open mid-April to mid-Sept. For more information, contact the Detroit Ranger District.

For Birders, this sub-alpine wetlands, lakes and forest area attracts a variety of species to nest. Included are; Wilson's Snipe, Lincoln's Sparrow, Hermit Warbler, Varied Thrush, Gray Jay, Northern Pygmy-Owl, Hammond's Flycatcher, Blue Grouse, Rufous Hummingbird, Vaux's Swift, McGillivray's Warbler and Red-Breasted Sapsucker.
