At Bastendorff County Park there is beach access, but expect a lot of people as it's a popular spot. Sunset Bay State Park provides beach access also. Look for songbirds along the creek south of parking lot. There is a cliffside trail to Shore Acres State Park that gives good viewing of nesting pelagic cormorants.Cape Argo State Park has good pelagic viewing with a scope of auklets, common murres, marbled murrelets and maybe even storm petrel and shearwaters. On the rocks look for flocks of surfbirds, turnstones and oystercatchers and other shorebirds on the rocks as well as gulls and terns. Sea lions also use these rocks.
