Clark Creek Organization Camp

Elev. 1,000 feet. The Location: 12 miles northeast of Lowell. This campground is near Broken Bowl and Bedrock Camp. Rented as a group site. Limit group size to 80 people.

Facilities / Attractions: Clark Creek is a group organization camp built by the Civilian Conservation Corps which can be reserved through ReserveUSA. It features 5 lean-to structures that each have platform sleeping bunks. In addition, there is a large field to pitch tents, pitch a baseball, volley a ball, or throw a frisbee. There is a large covered area for group dining that features picnic tables to seat about 50 people and a fireplace and food preparation area. Fall Creek is located right across Forest Road 18 and Clark Creek runs adjacaent to the sleeping area. This site is extremely popular, so plan ahead for making your reservations.

The season is April--October / Overnight--14 day limit.

Access: From Lowell Service Center, turn left on North Shore Drive. After one block, turn right on Jasper-Lowell Road to Unity Road. Travel north on Unity Road to the covered bridge. At the crossroads in front of Unity Covered Bridge, turn right onto road 6240. Veer left at the "Y" and continue east after it becomes FS road 18. Proceed on FS road 18 to Clark Creek Organization Camp.
