Come to quiet relaxation in a desert oasis, on the banks of the scenic Snake River. Farewell Bend State Recreation Area is located on the Oregon/Idaho border north of Ontario. Farewell Bend was named in the days of the Oregon Trail. At this point, the emigrants left the Snake River to head overland after they had followed the river for nearly 330 miles.

The park offers 101 electrical sites, 35 tent sites, 3 walk-in tent sites, 2 covered camping wagons, 3 tepees, 2 cabins, and two group tent areas.
