Huntington is a few miles off Interstate 84 and marks the place where the highway heads inland away from the Snake River. A gravel road to Richland leads north from Huntington along the river. J.M. and J.B. Huntington, brothers, settled the area in 1882. There is also a Huntington, West Virginia.
