From high in the Wallowa Mountains, the views are spectacular, stretching towards Hell's Canyon and Idaho's rugged Seven Devils Mountain Range. What's more, the atmosphere here is reminiscent of skiing in the 60's -- pure, simple, and charming. A rope tow and a tee bar access six runs with beginner and intermediate terrain, as well as tree skiing through fresh, dry powder. Cross-country skiers love riding the Wallowa Lake Tramway to the groomed trails of nearby Mt Howard during Christmas break.
