This campground is on Gold Lake in
Willamette National Forest. 61 miles SE of
Eugene on
Highway 58, (28 mi E of Oakridge). From Oakridge, follow Hwy 58 east for 28 miles to Gold Lake Road (#500). Follow Gold Lake Road for 2 miles to Gold Lake Campground. The camp is at elevation 4,800 feet.
There are twenty sites for tents, trailers, or RVs up to 21 feet, with picnic tables, fire grills, hand-pumped water, and vault toilets. Nearby boat docks/launching. Leashed pets okay. This camp is heavily used. Open June through Sept. with a 14 day limit.
Area Activities include camping, picnicking, fishing (fly fishing ONLY), mountain biking, swimming, hiking, boating (non-motorized), kayaking.
Gold Lake is a popular recreation site in summer and winter.
