A popular launching and take-out site for river rafters, Hilgard Junction is located off I-84, 8 miles west of LaGrande in northeastern Oregon. The park is shaded by a grove of cottonwood trees along the banks of the Grande Ronde River in the foothills of the Blue Mountains.Facilities include 18 primitive campsites, a picnic area, an Oregon Trail interpretive exhibit, restrooms, and waste water disposal station.
