Pacific University was founded by New England pioneers who journeyed here in the 1840s and chartered the university in 1849. Located in
Forest Grove, a small community of 16,000, Pacific U. offers geographically the best of many worlds. They are 35 minutes from the heart of
Portland, and are surrounded by abundant, fertile farm lands and a thriving wine country of rolling hills reminiscent of Tuscany, Italy.
They have also been named one of the best values west of the Mississippi by several national publications. They are strong in the Liberal Arts and Professional Education and have a variety of options for internships, study abroad, research, community involvement, athletics and co-curricular activities. Among the 30 traditional Liberal Arts majors we offer are interdisciplinary majors in Environmental Studies, Exercise Science, and Integrated Media.
