Columbia Gorge Community College

Columbia Gorge Community College is located in The Dalles, Wasco County, OR, and has an enrollment of about 6,900.

The College occupies a beautiful campus at the southern edge of town on the highest point, overlooking the east end of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. The Dalles is 85 miles east of Portland and about 130 miles north of Bend.

The 70 mile long Columbia River Gorge, formed by the Columbia River, is the only break in the length of the Cascade Mountain Range, and has a world-wide reputation for its myriad of recreational opportunities. The Dalles, Hood River and nearby areas offer outstanding windsurfing, scenic hiking and horseback riding trails, skiing, white water rafting, excellent fishing and boating, and numerous historical museums.

Aside from the physical setting, CGCC offers a nice mix of programs appealing to eventual transfer students, entry-level technicians and "life-long learners" alike.
