On the West Fork of the
Willamette River in
Willamette National Forest, 20 miles NE of Westfir, (Oakridge). From Oakridge, travel west on
Highway 58 to Westfir and continue on
Aufderheide National Scenic Byway, (#19) 20 miles to Kiahanie Campground.
There are nineteen sites for tents, trailers, or RVs up to 24 feet, fire grills, hand-pumped water, and vault toilets. Leashed pets permitted. No reservations. Open April thru Oct. There is a 14-Day limit.
Major Outdoor Activities include hiking, camping, picnicking, fishing (fly fishing ONLY), bicycling, hiking and boating. The elevation is 2,200 feet and this campground use is low.
Located in an old growth forest alongside the North Fork Willamette River. The North Fork is not stocked and therefore contains only native fish. It is designed for fly-fishing only. The campground itself is rarely crowded, providing a quiet, peaceful setting amongst enormous Douglas fir trees.
Disabled access facilities include: restroom, 5 campsites, compacted rock access routes.
