Located in the
Ochoco National Forest, the 17,400 Mill Creek Wilderness is accessed via the
Wildcat Campground about 20 miles northeast of Prineville. There are about 20 miles of trails inside the wilderness. Stein's Pillar, core of an ancient volcano, towers 300 feet above the wilderness.
