The Oregon Coast Music Association was established in 1979 to present an annual classical music festival of the highest professional caliber and to support a varied range of year-round music performances and activities. Over the years the Oregon Coast Music Festival has grown from a three-day Haydn Celebration to a two-week bonanza of music including classical, jazz, folk, dance, choral, concert band, blues, chamber, and some rather eclectic offerings. The centerpiece of the festival is the highly acclaimed Festival Orchestra which performs under the batons of Music Director and Conductor James Paul and Associate conductor Jason Klein. Each year an internationally recognized soloist performs as special guest artist with the orchestra.
