The DAR Log Cabin was built in 1929-1931. A Guide, in pioneer costume, will briefly introduce you to the Museum and invite you to view our fine collection of artifacts that belonged to pioneers who crossed the plains to Oregon by wagon train or came earlier as traders or trappers.
School tours take about 55 minutes. Adult tours are customized to fit the group. School tours enjoy working with sourdough, (bread dough), at an antique table before the fireplace, then cardding wool to make yarn for a take-home bracelet and then while they wash clothes on the back porch, using an antique wash board.
The students will learn about the children's trek to Oregon.
Open Fri-Sat-Sun-Holidays. Tours any time by appointment.
