Cal Young Middle School prepares students for the 21st century by teaching them the skills and knowledge described in the Oregon common curriculum goals and content standards. It offers a balanced instructional program in the traditional curriculum areas of reading, writing, speaking, math, science, foreign language, physical education, social sciences, and the arts. It also includes cultural, career, and life role education. It provides opportunities for students to produce original projects, to perform, and to create in several different contexts.
