Located in Douglas County, Sutherlin is situated north of Roseburg, at the junction of Hwy 138 and Interstate 5, near historic Oakland.
Sutherlin is a Fishing, Hunting and Shooting paradise. Over 80 percent of the county is timberland, so anywhere you go takes you to a park or a forest camp for family enjoyment.
Since Sutherlin is located in one of the many valleys between the Cascade Mountains and the Coast Range Mountains, local wineries produce prize winning, premium vintages.
Cooper Creek Dam is an excellent recreation site located in a valley adjoining Sutherlin. It provides trout Fishing, boating, separate swimming facilities, two dock areas, ski pattern and many secluded picnic areas. Ford Pond is two miles to the west, where blue gill and crappie abound for family fishing enjoyment.
