Mild coastal weather offers pleasant opportunities to walk forest trails and explore the ocean shore. Check the campgrounds that are open. For campers wishing to use the Group Areas in the Cape Perpetua, Canal Creek or Rivers Edge campgrounds during the summer months, contact the Waldport Ranger Station early to reserve special dates.
Volksmarchers may still register for the 10K (6.2 mile) hike through the Cape Perpetua Scenic Area either at the Visitor Center or at Shirley's Cottage in Yachats.
