Wallowa County Museum

This museum features Nez Perce Native Americans and other historical artifacts. The museum building, (entered in the National Register of Historic Places in 1978), has had quite a history itself through the years. In 1976 the City of Joseph gave the building to the county to be used as a historical museum. After some repairs, the new museum was dedicated in October of 1976, and was opened May 1, 1977.

Museum is open from Memorial Day weekend until the third week-end in September each year. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily seven days a week.

This is just one of the many Historical Museums located throughout Oregon.
