Jefferson County

Established in December of 1914, its nearly 1,800 acres are populated by 15,400 people. The county seat of this Central Oregon county is Madras.

The county is crossed east-west by Highway 26 and north-south by Highway 97.

The Warm Springs Indian Reservation is in the northwest corner of the county.
