The wooded park area nestles at the side of a mountain and has a scenic lake and excellent hiking trails. A hike on a 2.5 mile trail rises to Flat Rock for a beautiful vista of the Cumberland Valley. In addtion to hiking, the park offers fishing and swimming from a sandy beach. The 52-site, tent and trailer campground is open from the opening day of trout season to the day after antlerless deer season.
The park is eight miles north of Newville and nine miles south of Landisburg.
