The Compass Inn Museum, a restored stage coach stop, was built in 1799 with a stone addition in 1820, after the 1817 completion of the Pittsburgh - Philadelphia Turnpike. The Inn has been completely restored and furnished with period pieces. The working kitchen, blacksmith shop, and barn are reconstructed on their original sites. Costumed guides conduct narrated tours of the site.
