Designed by internatonally acclaimed architect Charles W. Moore in association with Arbonies King Vlock. Opened in 1993, its galleries present selections from a permanent collection which comprises thrity-five centuries of painting, sculpture, ceramics, and works on paper from the United States, Europe, Asia, and South America. The museum also maintains a comprehensive schedule of special exhibits. Large-scale contemporary sculpture enhances an adjacent outdoor garden.
